  • is there any other refuge truck with uses a similar packer system?

  • @poggittrobo Yes, in the past the most famous was by Norba of Sweden, which built auger rear loaders from the 1930s through 1980s. Also Glover, Webb and Liversidge of the UK used single and twin screws on their Musketeer RL's

  • Personally, Mercs are better than DAFs but not as good as Dennis-eagle for refuse

  • it says it's driverfriendly.. but in reality.. those bins are almost NEVER that well placed so a truck can reach em. Just means that the driver has to get out and grab the containers HIMSELF. If you've ever done steel containers.. you'll know it's damned heavy especially when a curb is around.

  • Doesn't beat a Dennis Elite I'm afraid.

  • I've never driven one, but it does appear that European heavy trucks are very driver-friendly. I am particularly impressed with the good visibility afforded the operator.
