This was a show we called, "Swingin' On The Stars II - A Musical Tribute to the Crooner Songs We Fell in Love With." We all had a great time and it's a ball to visit with these terrific ol' folks and help them walk down "memory lane" to forget all about their aches and pains....if only for an hour or two.
One of my favorites. I like your version better than the original PB.

Hey, thanks a bunch for your kind words (though, I don't think Mr. Boone would take kindly to them...HA!). I get a kick out of singing this song--along with all the other "Crooner" music I have the opportunity to perform throughout Southern California. Oh, the girl walking past in the background, I believe she's one of the staff there at the retirement home I performed at. It's located in Apple Valley, California, and the folks there are simply the best at Merrill Gardens!

I just did this live for the first time Friday evening, and I smoked it! I'll challenge the singer to a duel on it anytime!!
Great job though!
And I wonder what the line "the vainest knife" means too.
