  • Aww now that's not fair on us vegans J. I went through a whole box of tissues over this one.

Not really, but if the rat was alive I would......don't tell me it was alive......

  • Nope. I think it's technically illegal in AU to feed live verterbrates to an animal will happily consume pre-dead ones. Irwin has grown up on frozen then thawed rats. So he's perfectly happy with those.

He did escape for a couple of hours not long ago, and managed to take either a very large rat or a small possum in the wild, so it seems that the "fast food" hasn't diminished his natural instincts.

  • Hmm very sensual and amazing,

Is this dead and frozen mouse? Is true if kill is alive they are more wild and less friendly?

I love wild animals, have a brushtail possum that sleeps in my house, she is my baby- although while getting to know each other she has attacked me many times, Now she is happy to be the most dominant and doesnt draw blood, anymore :)

    Beautiful snake BTW

  • He's only killed one live animal (when he'd gone for a little adventure outside the house), he hasn't been noticably less friendly since then. I'd say people who are happy to feed with live animals might be the same people who might want their reptile to be more agressive anyway.

  • i prefer alive

  • beurk :D

  • @RogueFangee the nature of the snake doesnt change due to feeding live or frozen.

  • nice vid!

  • Wow, thats pretty cool. :)

  • lol nice vid, live feedin doesnt make any snake more aggressive, aggressiveness comes from not holding, nervousness, annoyence towards the snake and things like that. All my older boas get pk rats and all young ones get either pk mice or live pinky- hopper rats and the most aggreesive snakes (2) have only got dead food.

    Thanks, PS beautiful slow shots:)

checl my vids if you like snakes you should like what i have:)

    thanks, T
