Cow Catcher Pro-Staffer, and Midlands Striper Club Staff Member, Rick Kellemeyer, boats a beautiful 47" Striped Bass. This fish was taken with an eel pulled behind a planer board during the slack tide. Rick used the Accurate 870N. This was his first ever experience with a lever drag reel, but you would never know it. The battery in the scale was weak, so we estimate this fish at 40-44lbs. Rick also boated a 50.46 lb Striper later that day!(this fish was weighed on an official scale) It was also 47 inches, but much fatter!

  • Thanks Ninjafoot, I appreciate the comment, should have some more vids after Fall.---Mike

  • I love your videos.

    Rick~ congrats on the fish.

  • Right inside the CBBT, that is the bridge in the background. Cape Charles.

  • where did you catch this one?

  • We pretty much just chase Stripers up and down the right side of the country. You can find big fish just about all year, if you are willing to travel. That Powerstick will never steer you wrong. BUT, be sure to crazy-glue the tip top insert in, they want to come out sometimes.

    Thanks,

    Mike
