@mauiflutes you're right.90% of golfers can't keep from slicing the ball to save their lives.Unless,of course.their faced with a 75 degree dogleg right shot and then they'll hook the ball.

Thanks for the great video Mark! Just went out and hit 40 clean straight shots at the range this morning! Now if I can just get that slight draw...

@rw5791 Controlling the club face is just that. Being conscious of where the club face is at impact and knowing what controls it. Depending on the shot you may want it open a little, closed a little or square.
-
@adamutuber controlling the clubface is another way of saying ..."keep the clubface square": Yes you do that by a flat wrist ,although don't say that to dustin johnson,but u also have to swing on plane.The video makes no mention of the plane and how can u talk about a square clubface without mention of the plane.The two are inseparable.

@adamutuber in/out*

@rw5791 Mark said in the video, control your clubface and it will directly fix the out/in swing. No point pumping up a tire if you still have a hole in it.

Always great videos!!! Love this one especially, I play off 8 but still suffer from losing my drives when i get quick. I have put this into practice at the range and love the results, firing the ball from a square club face....can't wait for the season to start. Thanks again.....also bought the Titleist AP2 and RBZ from your reviews after hitting them against the Mizuno. Keep up the good work and if i am ever down there i may well pop in for a lesson!!!!!!

Great video mark! I noticed I tend to slice more as I move from my short irons to longer irons. what is the correlation for this?
-
hi mark , could you do a video on hooking with the driver ?, driver is my best club in the bag but i can go through phases of duck hooks , cheers

most people slice because of an out to in swing.Clubface angle is not nearly as significant.
Cure the out to in,cure the slice.imo.
I just got a new TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP and with it an incredible towering slice. Applying what you said about grip and club face control straightened it right out. Thanks for another great video lesson, Mark!

this sounds good. I have dropped from a 20 to 14 in past 6 months but have stalled. No doubt due to my out to in slice and missing a lot of fairways, especially if it is windy. I will give these tips a go and let you know

@SnowShadow007 let me know how you get on

i thought it was if u hit a slice it was your swing plane, and if the ball went straight right it was your club face not square??????????? is this right r wrong?????????/

@kyle9256 thanks for your comment, swing plane does cause a slice. The point I am making is that your swing plane is heavily controlled by your club face. If your club face is open when it attacks the golf ball it will encourage a out to in swing path. But you are right that is is a combination of swing plane and clubface. Fix the club face, control the club face and you will be able to control your swing plane. Let me know if this makes sence and thanks for watching and joining the convo.
