@MusicalWoW powerskips are the original brand and velocity stilts came afterwards. nothing can beat powerskip springs and lightweight. I have also heard that velocity stilts are extremely noisy

That's the theoretical difference, but are there any realistic difference?
I only hear "up to this and that" without any specifications on what gear is actually used.

It depends on use. With normal use, about a year. With weekend use, likely 2 to 3 years.
