After 2 days of messing up the process on camera, I finally got this recorded. This explains everything on hatching shiny eggs in D/P/Pt.
Here's a quick outline of the process:
-Set up in an area where high-level pokemon can be captured
-save and reset
-catch pokemon and find RNG seed
- tap applications for shiny
-breed and hatch egg
-Sucess!(hopefully)
RNG Advancement Rules:
-Switching to Poketch App #6 advances the RNG by 2 times the number of Pokemon in your party
-Double tapping App # 6 does the same.
-Triggering the Coin Flip App (#15) advances the RNG by 1
Generating an Egg advances the RNG by 1
-Trading via Wi-Fi or Union Room trade resets the RNG to an unknown value.

EDIT: 20,000 views, huh? I guess shinies are more common than I thought, if 20,000 people are attempting this.
All characters belong to Nintendo
This is stupid. Better than hacking, but where's the fun? I take pride in my shinies, like my shiny eevee 1/8192 and even in my chained ones. It's so fun to get a real shiny.

@lollipop5871 It is fun to get a real shiny, and i don't necessarily exploit this to get shinies. This is just a guide for the people who do want to use it, and gain a little insight on the game and it's inner workings. There is, however, a certain sense of accomplishment you feel when correctly executing some of the harder RNG methods.

what does the rng seed do???
SuperBurgurElite 6 months ago
@SuperBurgurElite The seed is what generates the pokemon you see by putting it through the RNG formula. It's basically the starting point, which changes based on how long you took during startup.

its not shiny -_-

@mewthreex300 Absol's shiny is a little subtle. Its blue skin is a shade of red, and it has the red star on its status designating its shinyness.
If, however, you are talking about your attempt at this, it's very easy to mess things up. I suggest you try again.
