Entitled "China", fashion designer Ronaldo Fraga's presentation of his Autumn/Winter 2007 collection at Sao Paulo Fashion Week was an evocative and provocative fusion of catwalk, theatre and social statement. Addressing the subject of China and its' rapidly growing global influence, Fraga captured an emotionally charged environment where the traditional and the superfluous co-exist, of ancient culture and waste pollution, of timeless ritual and unlicensed mass production. Accessories in printed stainless steel and porcelain were created by London-based designer Marcelle Lawson-Smith, a regular Fraga collaborator.
