If someone is going to take astronomy or chemistry etc, They are obviously going to proceed a career involving those things, maybe because your havnt been to school you would know that they are not mandatory classes, and the reason you have not used what you've learned is because you play computer games all day..... and maybe you should double check the food chart.... because your probably over weight

There's loads of closed minded ignorant 'tards on these comments. The educational system creates workers to fuel the economy. Schools teach linear thinking, how to get from point A to point B. No questions asked. Did you ever notice the sheer enjoyment when you learn something on your own? That's because your brain has found an alternate route to learning (whatever it may be) on your own. An original idea. The Educational System doesn't foster Originality, only cooker cutter ideas.

slappay i'm in exactly the same boat bro. i loathed every minute of school, it never worked for me (and almost all of the work was arbitrary crap doled out by indifferent teachers) and i more or less stopped going in my final few years because i lost the physical patience needed for school.

maybe it's just that i have a peculiar constitution, but i don't see the appeal of "high-paying jobs" if the cost is working yourself (or "studying") to death. my material appetites really aren't that grand.

There is a certain concept behind the same qualification and school vs. "quit" school.

Finishing degree means you can finish things and are dedicated. It's a "signal" to employers.
