@KyodaiKen1979 I know this was 10 months ago, but as you can see from Part 2 of the Davis/Chloe clips from this episode, investigation seemingly became unnecessary when Davis' poisoning of Jimmy led to him screaming and raving madly in a serene hospital hallway about Doomsday killing Chloe.
It's easier to assume that Jimmy fiddled with the pain-med machine (which she saw him trying to do) than to believe that Davis was a killer.

I was really mad at Chloe in the end of this episode. What's up with her that she always trusted the wrong guys? She was almost sent to Belle Reeve in Season 5 because of the ghost, she saw how Lionel convinced everybody that Lex was crazy - and she never bothered to investigate if Jimmy was telling the truth.
