Il est des sessions que l'on oublie, de celles que l'on visite de temps en temps, de celle que l'on évite et il y a celles qui ne vous quittent pas. Dans l'ordi, dans le mp3... De celles que l'on se repasse en boucle, l'émotion intacte comme un cadeau précieux que l'on garde au fond de sa poche, toujours à porté de main... Merz, The Sleeping Years ou encore AaRON nous ont offert ces moments-là.
Aujourd'hui c'est Chris Garneau accompagné de Anna Callner, enregistré chez Jean-Charles Versari (vous reconnaitrez le piano aux touches rouges). Simplicité, douceur et une émotion qui vous serre la gorge... Depuis l'enregistrement de cette session il y a déjà plusieurs semaines, les trois morceaux que nous a offerts Chris Garneau tournent en boucle, et son "relief" restera l'un des plus beaux moments des sessions Cargo. Tout simplement.
Merci à Chris Garneau, Anna Callner, Fargo et Adrien.
Et un immmmmmmense merci à Jean-Charles pour son appart, son piano et le son de cette session...
Chris Garneau sera en concert à Paris le 1er juin avec Lozninger en 1ere partie et une affiche pareille ne se rate pas.
Le 29 mai à Orléans. le 31 mai à Nancy.

I just found out about this guy 2 days ago from his Between the Bars cover (im a huge Elliott Smith fan) and im already in love with this guy. He draws you in in an instance with his unique and haunting voice...and his songwriting is out of this world.
