Erin doing a bit of recreational tree climbing in our back yard on a nice Autumn afternoon.
For this climb she's using 150' of Blue Streak- our favorite arborist rope, a leather cambium saver, and a New Tribe tree climbing saddle. Don't start preaching about helmets and gloves. We have them but she didn't have either on for this video. Bad habit, we know.
It's not obvious from the video, but she's using a Blakes Hitch friction knot with a figure-8 stopper. In most of the video she has the figure-8 flipped up out of her way and that's the reason that the friction knot looks weird.
