Ubuntu 4 Life

A lot of people use Ubuntu instead of Kubuntu because the GNOME display in Ubuntu is better supported, runs faster, and has more programs than KDE in Kubuntu. You can install applications from one in the other, but to run them you need a bunch of extra stuff, and it makes the computer slower.

hi, maybe someone could answer me why ubuntu is used more than kubuntu when kubuntu has such a more friendly feel moving from windows?, I tried ubuntu and I much prefer the "classic" feel of kubuntu . . all replys to this comment really appreciated thank you in advanced.

I gotta admit, I can't stand self promoting billionaires, but Ubuntu is definetely cutting edge. It really show how strong Microsoft is cuz as a novice computer user, it only took be 3 days to know that Ubuntu is a superior OS, runs faster, and uses far less battery on my laptop, thus making computing faster.
