I can see I'm the first to comment in over a year, but I've still got this question I don't really know where to ask ... is it normal that the Akira responds very sluggishly to MIDI CCs? It's brilliant when I actually turn the knobs, never misses a beat, but when I sequence it (with the Yamaha RM1x) it sometimes doesn't even respond, or it responds only to some but not to others, it takes time to recover before it can respond to another one etc. If anyone's dealt with this, please get in touch.

@TPsynth Thanks much ... I will have to try the same. Have not tried Jamman so can't comment. I have used the Boss Slicer which is a cool effect. Also the Moog Murf is a great effect for mangling/jangling/tangling. This has to be the best constructive video on Youtube that really shows what the Akira can do. Peace ...

@TPsynth I would predict these would click as well. What is your signal path ... is it in your mixer effects loop or guitar amp loop ... or none of the above ... trying to get an idea of how I could best run this ... peace ...

@TPsynth You're right ... noticed the same thing .... may or may not get buried in the mix. For the quiet guitar I tried this morning it was very audible and would require some editing in my Protools, Cubase or Sound Forge. I really need to get it hooked up in an effects loop someday ... the inputs really were never meant to be driven by just a guitar.

Plus the drum machine is masking the clicks when switching patches ....

@TPsynth Yep ... did not notice it before. There is a click when changing patches. I tried to isolate if it had anything to do with warming up which it did not not. Some patches seemed more prone to this ... like going from 15 to 16 produced a click on my unit. These are always "fun" to edit out of a track. I tried my fast and dirty .... guitar into mono input and right channel out only into a mixer. I imagine that if this was in my effects loop it would a lot louder.

@TPsynth Sweet ... bought mine from a singer friend of mine with a Deep Purple tribute band called Stormbringer. Its a little digitally harsh for me but I am still tweeking it. Can't wait to here about any suggestions you might have about this piece of gear ....
