I'm teaching my baby this when I have kids.
I didn't actually learn to swim until I was about 14, I'm 16 now and training for the Marines :) Never owned a pool in my life.

This is awesome. When you consider that this kid has even a lower fat to muscle ratio making him less bouyant than an infant it's even more important to teach this sort of thing.

At a very young age, we all know how to swim, but for some reason after a year or so after being born, we already forget and have to re-learn this skill.

@RachelandRyder actually not all the time would a child have a life Jacket on, if they snuck out of the house say or wandered off at the beach and fell in the pool or the water they wouldnt know how to swim if they always used a lifeJacket with out it. this is why it is very important to teach a child at a very young age survival tequnics like this. =)
