@amy8774 in most third world countries the cats are wild and they sustain themselves on the rats :/ I love cats but that is how it is over there they are wild/feral animals

@greenrefrigerator I am a cat lover, but do understand that in some countries it is not so easy to just feed the strays. It is still sad to see the animals starving. I do agree that people just feeding it would only delay the starvation for a day. However, in this country we still see pictures like this and those make me angry. Spay and neuter your animals or do not get them. IMO, I think that townships should penalize people for not spaying their animals and not just a couple dollars.

You are absolutely right. I also think mostly westerners jump all over someone for not providing this or any cat everything it needs to survive in life. Of course, the reality many times is there simply isn't enough food to go around in many countries, and they certainly aren't going to give their precious food away to an animal on the street before taking care of "their own". That's just pure silliness to give one's food away when it's so scarce to begin with. But that's cat lovers for ya.

@MKShaggy1985 I fully agree. This message board is full of westerners who don't understand that their are other priorities in the world than feeding stray animals, who are overpopulated and spread disease anyway. I'd like to see the critics on this board fly over to Thailand and FEED STARVING CHILDREN before judging someone on not feeding a stray cat whom they came across by coincedence.

@lirienaria People are different than cats. Where's YOUR humanity?

@htan07 Yes, to ask a question is to admit ignorance. There is nothing wrong with ignorance itself -- we are all ignorant before we learn. I think you meant to say that Astradah was perpetuating a stereotype, which is true. It would have been more constructive to say as much, and then provide some information that would help dismantle the stereotype.
give it food!

FIrstly what makes you think I didnt? Secondly, I was a TOURIST in Thailand where I saw the cat randomly. Do you think I had food on hand to feed it?
Thirdly, taping it and posting it on youtube made other people all over the word aware of the cat and its plight
Fourthly there is a problem with overpopulation of cats all over the world. Should we feed them all?
