@vincentjurg I wonder what you mean with gothenburg metal... If you mean Sacramentum, Dissection, At the Gates, Megaslaughter, Dark Tranquillity and so... Then I'm with you, the early output from these bands are great. (Except for Sacramentum who stayed great, but they peaked in the early days too). But still, Stockholm death metal is more brainy, has more visceral patterns. After 1995 or so, Gothenburg Metal turned into glam rock played like death metal.

Crematory(swe) is a death metal band from Haninge, their wrath from the unknown demo is my favorite swedeath demo. And Obscurity is from Malmö. I'm obviously not talking about the losers who stole their names.
