Demonstration of how stormwater can be captured and treated using a modular Freno Rain Garden system.

The water captured by Freno (patent pending) from adjacent streets, sidewalks, and parking lots is detained within the structure, reducing the amount of stormwater that has to be treated by traditional downstream facilities. Along with reduced run-off volumes and flow rates, rain gardens also improve the water quality with a reduction in water temperature and pollutant levels. The plants and soil process the water naturally and provide time to allow for infiltration into the groundwater aquifers.

The Freno system is able to provide rain garden structures with a high level of quality, durability, and flexibility in a faster timeframe at a lower cost compared to traditional cast-in-place construction.
