IMPORTANT: The crank sensor input signal is the most important signal in a modern vehicle. Without it the engine will not start. The crank sensor measures crankshaft position and rate of change. The ECM then synchronizes this signal to the CAM sensor and determines injection pulse, timing, fuel delivery, idle speed and everything else needed to run the engine. Are these known to fail on citroen saxo's?... Because my car keeps cutting out and have been told its commen with crank sensor failing?

0:37 That is one weird looking trace. Are you sure that trace came from a magnetic crank position sensor?

YES, i looks weird, but it is a magnetic sensor. If you look carefully it is a sine wave, which IDs it as a magnetic sensor. The reason why it weird in because it belongs to an older HONDA system, which produced that signal.
