This was our (Michael D, John O, Chris S) documentary for the 2008 C-span Studentcam competition. We got 3rd place. This video is meant to be an unbiast documentary on the current healthcare system in the US. We were recently in the Detroit Free Press and Birmingham Eagle because of our video and its 3rd place win.

  • what's the number one cause of death in this country? health care. more specifically, prescription drugs. drugs do not restore health, do not correct the cause of illness. why do people support this failed approach? ignorance, and the fear that comes from it.

  • health care is not a right, no more than is any other necessity. no one, nor any group, has the right to violate the rights of another individual by taking from them to give to someone else. americans have been brainwashed into thinking this is a democracy. it is not. it is a republic, in which individual rights cannot be taken, as compared to a democracy/ mob rule, in which the majority can overrule the rights of the individual. democracy leads to socialism . socialism leads to communism.

  • Some form, at least a basic universal healthcare system is a necessity. Failure will not only increase those who can't have insurance; but also it is destroying our economy, making jobs go oversea.

We need to make where if you lose your job you don't have to lose your insurance, even if you can't afford the COBRA. We must also outlaw the pre-existing practices of the insurance companies.

Frankly, the insurance companies is a business; failed when our lives become business.

  • i so would've won.

  • hey michael.....its hannah...you know if we entered we would've beaten you.

  • np problemo
