Thanks for the review. I'm thinking of getting a SZ3 spec Alto, it seems to be the same as your Comfort Plus. I agree that the looks are a bit cute, but there is also a hint of an aggressive frown IMO. The Alto is a world car, so is sold in developing countries with very bad roads. This just proves how robust the components are, so the Alto should be extremely reliable on UK roads.
The new Kia Picanto looks good also, but I think the Alto has more character.

Just negotiating with for my Alto now.. it's only a GL but the dealer said that the new stock now comes with everything the same except the 14" alloy wheels. I don't care too much about the wheels. I'm getting the Automatic version with the Fortune Rose Pearl paint, floor mats and the Indie kit all thrown in for $13,500AUD drive-away! The winner for me is the standard inclusion of Electronic Stability Control not to mention the fuel economy. :)

I finally got my Alto, and I am thoroughly impressed!! I must admit that I was a bit skeptical at first as to the power of the vehicle, but just one drive re-assured me that it was a winner!! It's stable and responsive at high freeway speeds and really zippy around the city areas which gives you an involved driving experience. 10/10.

Yeah the standard hubcaps do look nice for a stock item. I can't wait to get mine hopefully today...
I will definitely want to put an aftermarket car audio system in there but will have to asses it carefully seeings as though the space is limited, and I also want to keep it as stealth as possible but achieve a high degree of sound quality!! I saw on the UK website you can purchase a chrome surround for the front grille and also chrome rings for the speaker trims. Hmmm, so many choices...
@ Eucep
I may have to check out that website, do you have the web address?? That's good to hear that it copes well with highway speeds seeings as though I travel over 130km per day. Are you going to get the alloy wheels for your Alto??

@Domza84 I have not yet considered what I want to do with the wheels, the standard hubcaps are pretty nice though might actually spraypaint them black since they apparently are pretty cheap anyway. But since money is low, it's very very low priority.

@ Eucep.
Hi mate, what I meant was, I was upgraded to a choice of the metallic colors at no extra charge which would have otherwise cost $475 extra. Just out of curiosity, what "Red add ons" are you referring to?? The options I would like to get for mine are the Alto floor mats, the Alto moulded dash mat & the rear spoiler..
How does it travel at highway speeds (100km/ph)?? I should receive mine within a couple of days.

@Domza84 For mine there were only metallic colors, which you also then ended up having to pay for as extra. At least that price was already part of the advertised price, it just looked weird when we got the bill. The add-ons are from the suzuki dutch site where for example there is a red ring you can put in the front around the air opening and a few more of such things to add a bit of color. Highway is no issue, he drives fairly smoothly.

Nice car, I just bought one a couple of days ago. I got the Alto GLX with a free upgraded Indie package (bonnet & headlight protectors, Indie decal & Bluetooth handsfree), I also got a free upgrade to metallic paint. You get a lot of kit for you money (ABS with BA, ESC, Traction control, 6 airbags, keyless entry plus more). We got the auto with a few extras such as reverse sensors, tint, paint protect & 5 year warranty but the best thing is it 5.3L/100km consumption!!

@Domza84 That are quite a few goodies indeed. But am satisfied with the airco and such things in this one. Curious on the metallic paint since for mine it was a requirement with the color. Eventually I do want to get the red trim add-ons for the car for a GT look, even if the car is nowhere near as sporty as that.
