Detroit: Two boons killed in shooting.

Bullets fly on Vaughn Road near Evergreen, leaving one man dead and another hurt. Witnesses say the shooter approached two men working on a car and argued with them before he opened fire. As FOX 2's Andrea Isom reports, when the two victims tried to run, the shooter chased them both down.

I lived right there on 9051 Vaughan St. by Dover. I was born in 1960 and lived there untill I was 25 in 1986.

Jerry Cavanagh, who was Mayor from 1961 to 1969, walked arm in arm down Woodward Avenue with Martin Luther Coon, and the ungrateful blacks thanked him by burning the city in 1967. Cavanagh was succeeded by Roman Gribbs, a white guy who served from 1969 to 1973, but by 1973, most of the white people had left, and Coleman Young was elected the first black mayor.
