Two different styles showcased. No biggie. I guess this was one of Robert Champion's last performances.

@war4christ actually we in hot band were really excited to see them perform. we know how great they are, but we use two different marching/playing styles completely. theres like no comparison between what we both do. either way, none of felt bad for having to "compete" with FAMUs band, because its all about fun. not trying to outdo each other.

@war4christ lol this is actually a good show...the styles are different. FAMU (HBCU) is use to halftime being a competition VS the other band so they will leave it all on the field. Show style marching is intense from start to finish with the dance routine WHILE PLAYING as the finale. Corps shows are usually themed, techincal and very precise with formations. I think what wowed that particular crowd is that they don't see many show style bands let alone one of THE BEST HBCU bands in the US.

Well normally the away band performs first, but I think the band director kinda knew the excitement level the "The Hundred" was about to bring into the building. FAMU is known for their band. As the annocenter so elequently put it...they are one of the best bands IN THE WORLD! USF did do a good job, FAMU just brought the house down. They are an HBCU Icon in the band world...as well as Grambling, Jackson State, Southern University and FAMU's arch enemy band "The Marching Wildcats" of BCU.
