nitrous oxide is just laughing gas. dentist's give it to you in the chair. carbon disulfide, on the other had, is pretty toxic i work with it all the time...but A; it stinks (byproducts..sulfer...ew) and B; yeah...totally toxic.
Thanks for the reply but it's just a little late. We were forced to do the self-igniting candle instead because of the fact that nitrous oxide is toxic (or so our teacher said).
That was more a dog fart.

If you do it with small pipes, it gives a bark-like sound

Yeah I didn't think it was but she said it was. Maybe she meant the carbon disulfide...
Anyway she said it was too dangerous. I was pretty upset...

glass blowers'll make you one. or get one from a science merch vendor...don't think you need a license to do so.
