The day after my company held an on-site job fair, one of the applicants who showed up called me and left a message on my voicemail. I think it's amusing enough to share with all of you, so here you go.
A little background though: I spoke with her the morning of the job fair and she was extremely pleasant on the phone at that time. I explained to her the details of the jobs available and how much each position paid. It was quite clear to me that she understood what I was telling her.
I didn't have the chance to talk to her when she came to apply, but apparently something had changed with her after she arrived and she felt it necessary to call me the next day to vent.
My feelings weren't hurt any, but I did find the whole thing kind of funny and everyone in the office had a good laugh about it. If you've ever worked in the staffing industry at all, I'm sure you can relate.
I don't get why she applied for the job on the first place, if it wasn't her thing. Strange individual. it seems like she thought she could negotiate the wages, but when she realized you wouldn't budge it, she took a freak, cause she thinks she's all that and that, and took offence that she didn't get what she wanted.
