its was really awesome graphics during those days, that most of us couldn't believe that it really could be any better than that :P well today we have ps3 hehe =) but still ps1 will always kick ass =)

@dannymarkable hmm... well I only vaguely remember playing the first, I own the 2nd. I'd say it's ok, perhaps it's lost some of the comic book feel, but combat is slightly better and BGM is decent and ever playing unlike the first that sometimes only played music when you encountered a thug or boss. controls haven't changed much since neither has Spidey's humor. tons of collectables in the second. more variety of bosses in the 1st rather than the 2nd: sinister 6 pwns electro's team IMO
