"Sometimes the person you least expect can help you find your way home." Fred Daly lives a quiet, lonely life in his car. But that changes when Cathal arrives in a little yellow car and becomes his neighbour. A dope-smoking 21 year old with positive attitude, Cathal seems determined to make Fred sort his life out. And it works. As Cathal's infectious energy rubs off on him, Fred modifies his car into a home, beats the welfare system and makes a friend in Jules, an attractive music teacher who lives alone nearby. But Fred struggles with his pride to tell Jules about his 'home' as Cathal's life is threatened by his escalating drug habit. As they grow closer, the influence of these three outsiders on each other will change their lives. PARKED is a moving, uplifting film about friendship, trust and the need to feel truly at home.

The film's supposed to be released in early 2011 - but so far there's no further information as to when exactly and in which countries!

@lulatsch94 Und noch mal auf Deutsch: Ich glaube nicht, dass der Film in Deutschland in die Kinos kommt und auch eine DVD mit deutscher Tonspur ist eher unwahrscheinlich. Entweder Du bestellst also die englische DVD (erscheint am 5. März in UK und Irland) oder hoffst darauf, dass Arte oder 3sat den Film irgendwann mal zeigen, ggf. in synchronisierter Fassung.

@chbell613 Actually he's not using his native Northern Irish accent in Parked, it's a Southern Irish accent from around Dublin he adopted for this role. For Island he used a Scottish accent and he worked with people from the Island of Mull (where they filmed most of the movie) to get their particular Scottish accent right (and he got it right, according to people from around there, he did a brilliant job).
