Remastered from the 1978 LP "Formerly of the Harlettes", this is a great cover of the Motown classic by Bobby Taylor & the Vancouvers....I hope you enjoy it!

  • All due respect to all other harlettes who followed....but no one compares to the chemistry Sharon Redd, Ula Hedwig Charlotte Crossley, and Bette Midler had on stage. Pure genius

  • I agree!!

  • Sweet....so very SWEET!!! Thanks for posting! Happy B-day Oct. 17th my dear departed Sista. You are singing with the Angels now. Much Love, Charlo

  • Miss Charlotte Crossley!! I went to your YouTube page... and it is YOU!! I am so glad you saw and liked the video...It was a labor of love, inspired by you, Ula, and of course, our angel, Sharon.

  • @micapialamode I second that emotion!

  • this reminds me of when my cousins and i would sit on the floor and listen to records. We'd have records and covers all around us.

  • @micapialamode ~ AMEN! I had the honor, pleasure, and joy to see them live with Bette a number of times. I can't believe that Sharon is gone.

  • @nosmile47 - When you find a site for download, send it to Kim Boutte on facbook

  • I had the pleasure of being in the audience many years ago at Reno Sweeney in NYC where these ladies put on a great, great show! This was a red hot album and I was looking forward to more but I believe this was the only release. They also made an appearance on Merv Griffin and I have the audio from this. Also fantastic. But they never recorded for Motown. This was a CBS album.

  • A very nice and sultry version!

  • I love this version better.

  • Thanks for posting this song, I'm still trying to find where I can down load it

  • Thanks so much memories - I had the LP Formerly of the Harlettes which vanished ages ago. What wonderful memories to hear all this
