Melody Gardot: Who Will Comfort Me? on David Letterman

one of the very best bands to appear on Letterman

I've watched this video several times but i never realised that there's like a drum percussion type instrument at her feet that she's drumming with.

What i love about her is the diversity in instruments. she plays piano and guitar. she looks at everything to make music. not just the rhymes, lyrics or sound. everything.

i think that the fact her name is melody is quite ironic
she has such a unique and crisp voice
i only have high hopes for this woman

Not a problem. She really is an incredible person. I've filmed over a hundred of her shows. She studies them and tweeks her performance until she gets exactly what she wants. Needless to say, she's pretty damn good at tweeking.

I like this song, but what's with the shades? Unless you're blind, I don't get it.

Mel, while riding her bike, was involved in an automobile accident years ago. Part of the damage done resulted in light sensitivity. Check out her myspace page; it's all there. Very interesting.
