A stunning talent. So honest in her delivery.... the joke for me is that the likes of Lady Gaga are deemed to be so talented!!!! This is the real thing.

Melody's pitch control, is nothing short of dazzling. And I'm sure of something else; she is a genuine lady.

@33rdPatriot Google her and you'll read about a terrible accident she suffered in 2003 causing head and spinal cord injuries, causing her to spend a year in the hospital and have re-learn everyday motor skills. Music was her therapy. On result of the accident was acute sensitivity to light - that's why the glasses. She is not only an amazing musician, she's an amazing person as far as I am concerned.

is this a Lady Gaga for smart people? Waiting to read what vigilant citizen . com makes of this

WTF.. is that a cloven hoof ?

what's with the dark glasses on 99% of her videos??

She is living proof that the worst things that happen to us can bring out the very best in us. You go girl!

Such a great talent. I wish she made her home in America, instead of Europe. If she toured regularly in the U.S. she'd be all over the Grammys and expose jazz to a wider and younger audience.

This woman sounds better live than in any track. She carries sensuality and her experiences with her. Truly authentic.

The arrangements on this Melody Gardot album are stunning. even cinematic.
You really enter a world. Only the best people get this kind of arranging treatment on CD's.
Like Tom Waits One From The Heart......

Thank God I found this chick. I was in one of my favorite indie record stores yesterday and her Worrisome Heart album was playing over the speakers. I thought it was Norah Jones, but then I realized it wasn't her because this grooves like something racy. Love it :-)

@pineapplepeanuts "Thank god I found this chick", is what I was thinking the first time I filmed her in a little place in Hoboken, NJ. 6 years ago. I was hoping, going in, that she sounded at least half as good live as she did on myspace. Amazing when she started her first song; she's ten times as good live.

From the heart, great compositions and mixing of voice and instrumentation...reaches deep. Nice to see that some talent is emerging again since the 60's/70's.

@ojemesan From the day I met her, Mel seemed like a throwback to the 30s and 40s.

Better than Amy Winehouse. More uplifting life story too.

@TKL90266 . You don't know the half of it; everything she went through. One day I may write a book about the making of a Melody.
