Democrat Daisy TV ad for 1964 Presidential Campaign

The infamous "Daisy" TV ad that Johnson ran against Goldwater in the 1964 US presidential campaign. It was shown only once, but that was enough to inflict significant damage on Goldwater.

I'd say this was an enormous piece of irony, because it's intent was to portray Goldwater as this unbalanced lunatic intent on dragging the US into war. In reality, LBJ was one of the most unbalanced and mentality skewed presidents we've ever had, and his lying about the Gulf of Tonkin DID drag us into the war. Along with McNamara, he continued to lie about the war, including fighting in Cambodia, US war causalties and our general progress.

History has shown that the man with true principles and ethics was Goldwater, not LBJ.

In his defense, he inherited one of the shittiest war problems of any president. He essentially had to surpass Roosevelt as a war-time pres to not be considered a bad president.

Obama is such a socialist he invaded Libya, is intervening through proxies in Syria, threatens to militarily strike Iran, and has at various times talked about how the USA "triumphed" over communism, including in his inauguration speech.

Carter meanwhile gave the a-okay for the South Korean military regime to fire on students in 1980 and aiding the Mujahideen in Afghanistan to turn that country into the Soviet Vietnam.
