why is the check engine light on? is that common with Ford's? Every Ranger and F150 I find has a check engine light on.

nice truck. i love rangers, tough little trucks. 213K miles is getting pretty old. that's even more than my '89 f-150, which has 173K miles. still a very nice truck, and IF that engine ever konks out on you you could easily put a 4.0L V-6 in there.
