But I personally like, and think that the way of saying Seasons and Episodes is better and more clear than the way of saying like "episode 311". As you can see, the first comments on this chain letter is about whether this is above 200 episodes or not, and that makes people kinda confusing if they don't know the mechanism.

@Visuder You're right, I kind of snapped at you. But generally in the TV business, if someone says "episode five-one-three" it can be assumed that they mean season five, episode thirteen.

And most shows fall under that layer of assumption. It's not like it changes from show to show. Like if someone were to say "S2E13" of south park, it's still the same layer of understanding. I think it's more up to the creators which format for labeling their shows they use.
