if this was me i would be jumping up and down and saying thank you thank you thank you and talking and be sooo excited to have just won this home, ,, i wonder why these people arent so excited, , next year for the sonoma home youll see me ill be the crazy one jumping on all the firniture saying thank you,,,

Yeah these people are just such a disappointment. I wish someone with more appreciation would have won. I bet HGTV hated the way this came out

@catesjd The 2011 Urban Oasis winner was a black woman from Baltimore living with her sister... a Social Security Staff Assistant. Granted she inherited the house she was living in but she was far from rich or white. Also, she is single.

It's always families or people who have homes who win...never anyone who is single or gay or anything different...I guess that's why they do background checks because it isn't really true giveaway...HGTV wants to only give away to white families with homes already,but, maybe I'm wrong....who knows...when I see black people or asian people or gay or alternative families winning...I might believe it's true.

they werent excited because they probably had to sell the home to pay for the taxes and insurance. at least now hgtv gives you $500k to help with everything. crazy, but true!

0 Well your right i'm happy for them and i am not hating i am just saying the contest is not 100% honest but i will say this because i have read the rules and know i have no chance of winning they were probably thinking of the property taxes and all that stuff they have to do to pay for it lol it probably just hit them haha

@bracefacejourney101 why does race have to do with this. It is random, and doesnt going according to someones ethnics or skin color. Why does it matter the ethnics everyone is equal, and no need to criticize because you didnt win

@himay182 They probably knew they couldn't afford the taxes and are going to sell the home immediately. I would personally take the cash and run. Dream homes are more like nightmares from what I've heard.
