"James Taylor: One Man Band" premieres in March 2008 on PBS' GREAT PERFORMANCES series. (check local listings)

An intimate evening of anecdote and song - the telecast marks James Taylor's return to an earlier, simpler style of performance, particularly in such favorites as "Fire and Rain," "Carolina in My Mind" and "You've Got a Friend."

GREAT PERFORMANCES is produced for PBS by Thirteen/WNET New York. For more information, visit www.pbs.org/gperf

  • @46nworbwj You are so right...you can just see it all over him...feel it in his energy....hear it in his voice and funny anecdotes all through this concert. I have to watch this at least once a week!

  • This is a precious concert! After following his music forever, and being around his age, this was just absolutely priceless :)

  • @sajinald I was also at that concert ....and you are right ,it was quite amazing to see him stay on stage throughout the break....of course I was pleased he did ..as I managed to get his autograph and a few words...but yes it was amazing and there are not many if any artists that do it

  • I saw him for the 1st time in St. Louis. He was with Carol King. The best concert I have ever seen period.

  • i seen him in dublin last week for the 4th time and when he announced that him and the band were taking a break for 20 minutes he stayed at the front of the stage signing autographs for at least 30 minutes and got no break himself.now what other guy would do that

  • I have seen him as far away as Conn. There is such a long story about him, his drug addiction and no faith in God to a person that has learned from his mistakes, he NEVER took time to talk to a crowd, he has changed so much since the 60's. Found God and found himself. I love the man, his music and all that it tells about. Story behind every song.

  • lucky you to ahve seen him 15 times in 5 states....wish i have the same luck, even once will make my day for my entire lifetime :)

  • will you please give me a copy of the full video of this concert? please, i'm a great fan of JT but i have no access... thank you very much

  • I have burned this concert, I will share, the greatest concert that I have every seen, and I have seen him 15 times in 5 states

  • jt isnt folk - hes soft rock/his own thing

    <3 him
