This was the mounted melee at the American Sword of Chivalry Tournament, 2008, held in Poway, California. Competitors used their martial and horsemanship skills to engage other riders and avoid attack. Referees called the riders "out" when they judged someone had been hit enough times to be defeated. One rider is called "out" when he loses his baton.
