  • I run a small sameday transport business based alongside the M602 which I started myself after being made redundant in 2005. I never agreed with the CC in London and time has proved that, London is still as congested now as it was before the CC was introduced. Let the supporters go to London for a week and see for themselves how the CC has solved its problems and then come back to Manchester and vote yes!

Another tax on top of RFL and fuel duty.

    I vote NO, NO, NO!

  • Manchester is a great city with good public transport. It deserves a Yes vote to keep it a great city, but to give it great public transport to match.

  • You don't realise how good you've got it up here. I used to live in Kent on the main A2 from Dover to London. It used to cost £3.00 just to get to the next train station, and the buses ran once every hour and a half - at peak time. There is no "System One" ticket to allow you to use different bus networks on the same ticket. There certainly isn't a "Day Ticket" and you cannot get returns before a certain time of the day.

  • I drive, and live in Hyde (right on the outskirts of GM, and outside the two charge rings) but CHOOSE to get public transport into work. It is cheaper than driving, even without the Congestion Charge. Yes it's busy, yes it's crowded, but with investment going into the system to create more bus routes, more frequent bus services, more trains and a much extended tram network, this will get better.

  • next they will be taxing us to walk on the

pavement!£5 for every step! fuck this robbery vote no!

  • This video is just showing a necessarily short advert.

As for "deserves to lose" - you couldn't be further from the truth.

Students, workers who drive "the other way", those who travel off-peak and so on may be persuaded to vote by the disingenuous "we vote yes" adverts, but if/when any of them take a new job that brings them into the city centre, they will regret it.

The fact is that the proposed public transport changes don't provide for everyone. Penalising the others is wrong.

    VOTE NO!

  • boy, what a shite video. The 'no' campaign DESERVES to lose. Vote YES for better transport. It definitely makes sense!

  • And when it doesnt work who will end up with the bill? Why the counsil tax payers. If they are trying to reduce traffic wont it reduce revenue from the congestion charge ? DOH think about it

  • Not with retards like you on the buses
