Chinese growth leaves US industry in question - 22 Oct 08

This year China's trade deficit with the United States is expected to top $250bn, as imports flood in and exports fail to find a market with Chinese consumers.

In return, jobs have flowed into China from the US, a trend both US presidential candidates have vowed to reverse.

But how serious is the problem facing the next American President and beyond the political rhetoric, is there anything he can really do?

In the third of his special series, Tony Cheng traveled to the heartland of US heavy industry to find out.

It's the fucking companies and government that are ruining their society by shipping all their work off to a country that manipulates their currency making all the work done here uncompetitive.
