IT'S A MEANS TO AN END! nothing more! it expands ones horizons and connects people whom we might have never EVER known about or met otherwise, there should be no STIGMA attached to this, just proceed with common sense and truthfulness.

The problem with rating yourself is that most won't rate themselves honestly. God says the heart is deceitful no man can know it, that includes my own heart. The Biblical model is God brings the woman to the man. Why do we depend on God for everything except our spouse which is the most important relationship we have on earth besides our relationship to Jesus? Marriage is also the example of Christ to the church. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and ALL these things will be added unto you.

What about this verse: "Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife." (1 Corinthians 7:27) It sounds to me like we aren't supposed to look for a wife. If you want a wife, and God wants you to have a wife, he will bring one to you. God is big enough.

@tempemonkey2323 Evidence for God? 2 words: Holy Spirit. It's why Christians believe He exists, and non-Christians don't.
Says so in John 15:26, and inferred from 1 Peter 1:11.
Other texts you might wanna consider: Psalm 14:1, Psalm 53:1, Proverbs 1:7
By the way, foreseeing a possible follow-up argument, there's no difference in terms of "worthiness" between "believer" and "non-believer", both sinners, just that the latter acknowledges and repents of his sins to God, through Christ.

My wife and I met online and we've been married for over 5 years and are closer every year. The web, like real life, can result in both good and bad relationships.
"I'd probably do it myself... I was so chicken!"
