@gfellis Right on! I did offshore Hake on the Seeker for about four seasons delivering to the Arctic Fjord and the Arctic Storm. What's the boat that your on right now? That sucks you guys missed A Season. You didn't miss anything Cod fishing. It just plain sucked and now they're shutting down everything out West 10 miles and in.

@metaldwnunda Yeah it wasn't the craziest day, some friends just wanted me to post a video so they could see what it's like. I have some footage of some crazy wind and waves, just haven't had time to dig it up. I retired from fishing about a year ago!

Looks like one of the A boats built in Anacortes, WA. Sister to the Viking Explorer and Morning Star. Very nice vessels.

@albinio157 its the sister to the Antares, Americus, and Altair. Well thats what I have been told by most people. I dont know a lot about the history, other than 2 of them sank. I got this clip from the Golden Alaska Captain a few years back. She is a very good boat though. We took a huge wave a few years back, shattered the windows and knocked out all of our electronics. Stayed upright though and was able to limp into Dutch

@gfellis Damn! Never had that happen and I hope i never see it. I've worked on the Gladiator out of Akutan for almost five years and that's the only boat that I've seen waves tall enough to take the house off. It was on a crossing and I hope I never see that type of weather again. You still fishing?
albinio157 1 year ago
@albinio157 Yeah I'm still fishing. We didn't go to A-season last year because of the extensive shipyard for the wheel house rebuild, but should be going back this year. We are wrapping up our Pacific Hake season right now. Been a slow year, and we have new mother ships this year, Kodiak Enterprise and Seattle Enterprise. They aren't very fast at processing hake. The Excellence was our mother ship for years before them.
