@torpedoboy4 I looked up the guy who directed this animation, and I think that he or the people he worked with were once on some Bakshi productions. I definitely see his influence in there a lot. Try googling the name of the video and cartoon and you should find the creator's blog.

Damn this IS a Prince jab. On top of being reclusive in the 80's he also used to roll with two big, scary bodyguards. Prince actually blew off the WE ARE THE WORLD session to bail the bodyguards out of jail and caught hell for it. Bob Geldof badmouthed him in the press, and Billy Crystal dressed up as Prince and sang "I AM ALSO THE WORLD" on SNL the same week. That might be what the celeb line-up in the video is about. I guess Charlie was putting his two cents in. Nice.

prince had charlie ruffed up back stage trying to get a sit in with the revolution,in detroit 1983 so charlie wanted to fuck him up so in stead he made this song as a message,charlie later admitted to being high on crack and cartooning out so thats why prince didnt want him there.and threw him out .

Interesting! I didn't even know they met. I thought it was in response to Prince when he had his bodyguards break a fans camera. I don't even know if that was true. Thanks for the info.
