I visited a mom-and-pop fishstore and saw THIS!!!! shockingly bizarre! what on earth is this!?!? they wiggle and their bubble-cheeks wobble in the water! it does not appear naturally occurring, I suspect it may have been synthetically induced (?) what if they poked their cheeks with a needle and "injected" air for the air bubble???
(edit- few days later) I finally found out these goldfish are Bubble Eye fancy goldfish, very popular in the goldfish hobby, and A NATURALLY OCCURRING PHENOMENON. The bubbles grow naturally over time, are not artificially induced, and are likely to rupture if placed in an aquarium with sharp objects or darting fish. They do well shoaling, in a large, rounded tank, and with no sharp objects.
One day I hope to acquire a few as well, but it is difficult because these deserve large tanks. Hopefully I will be able to get a 55 gallon tank for 3 or so.
i have an orange one! i just purchased it today... his name is... READY?.....(drumroll) Mr.Bubble. *that's right* best name on planet earth... :D

Man I want one of those, But i can't have one, Only reason i can't is becuase my regular goldfish would eat the food before it could get to it. And the bubbles pop, And my sucker would get him and kill him.(My sucker chases the other fish) Yea i know, Thats 3.

@kjerstiva yes, while it is true that there may have been a mutation somewhere way down the line, a couple million years or so ago, these are natural creatures, the bubbles are part of their eyes, without them, the fish die.

@kjerstiva I've had this fish 14 years ago and they're natural. They are just a different species of goldfish. It's called "nature", and just because you never saw it before doesn't make it a freak of mad science. Calling these things unnatural just because you had been living under a rock is just like being a xenophobic racist.
I hadn't seen these fish around for some time though.

@kjerstiva yes they are natural...
I hate people who don't know there facts and just say what they THINk is right. It is usaully wrong. These fish are not genetically engineered they are natural.

those fish did not evolve naturally. And they do not look particulary comfortable with those baloon-cheeks. Im sorry people support animal-cruelty by bying fish like that:-(
