That is true, the bible says one day they will see and understand who Jesus is and weep as for a lost child. That will not be at the resurrection because Jesus said the Jews would not see him again until they say, "blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord". That will be during the Great Tribulation when they are being hunted by the anti-christ and those days will be shortened for his elect. Then you also have Ezekiel 38-39 which speaks of the great Gog-Magog war to come.

Jesus came to Jews first if you remember. Paul is when Christ's message was given to the Gentiles. As the parable of the King who invites his friends to come to his feast and they were too busy so he went out into the streets. Knowing the customs and beliefs of the Israelites and having a little grasp of the Hebrew language will greatly increase your understanding of the Bible. Also, understanding the history of the Bible is helpful. Watch the video "The Forbidden Book" sometime.
