We put in near Foster Falls VA and went south to Galax...it was just about dead center of the trail. Hope this helps.

Im from Galax, i need to ask you ..are you freakin crazy, why the hell would anyone want to see galax, there are no jobs, all those industrial buildings you saw near cvs are empty, drugs are a bad problem here, the wealthy are trying to run the mid class and poor out of town, and this town is crowded with illegal immigrants, the trail is nice but try living in Galax for just 1 month
