10th dan has only ever been awarded to one person, he was a direct student of Ueshiba. That is not to take away from this guy. He is obviously very good but he cannot call HIMSELF 10th dan. That is incredibly arrogant. It needs to be awarded.

@skrimpshidy Some time back, I found that aikido techniques were actually much easier to do if you used them for their primary intent: fighting an armed attacker wielding a 2-handed weapon. Aikijitsu/Jujitsu was a last resort for disarmed warriors whose attackers would almost certainly be armed.

Aikido is bullshit, and all the pricks in this video are lying tossers... Talk about dishonest. Can you imagine what it's like being in a group of them, all pretending that aikido isn't a load of fake shit? All going on about their 'sensei', blah blah blah. Not one of them knows how to punch or kick properly, so we conveniently never see their 'sensei' actually defending against a REAL attack. It's sickening and pathetic. 'Martial arts' for fairies.

10th Dan are recognition grades, normally given by a panel, the board of the association, or other body, but never self awarded!

Anyone claiming to be a 10th Dan has study 5 years to become a black belt + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10, make your numbers: 60 years of continuous training, not failing once your exams and not delaying a single year your gradings.

If you reached your black belt at the very early age of 15 you'll be 75 by the time you could ever become a 10th Dan...

I don't think Vracarevic ever claimed himself a 10th dan, that's apparently the claim of the person who footnoted this video. Also the term "soke" cannot be used unless he is seen as the head of the entire marial art style. I doubt Vracarevic is recognised amongst peers as the grand master/head of Aikido.
