Jackie DeShannon - Breakaway (Original demo and a fantastic song!)

Jackie's own version of the classic "Breakaway" wasn't officially released until 1994, when it was included on the compilation "What the World Needs Now... Is Jackie DeShannon - The Definitive Collection". She also made a demo version, and would you believe that the demo version is even better!

I heard this today on the radio by The Detroit Cobras.

I remember the original hit from the 1960s but can't remember now who had the hit.

What I NEVER knew was that the GREAT Jackie DeShannon wrote it.
