  • Awesome. Yeah, they really are fun. They can become little pests when they hit sexual maturity, but it all depends on the rabbit. My boy only changed a little bit, my girl got completely savage. And around my area a spay is over $200, but I do plan on altering both of them even though it'll come to over $300 for both to be done..

  • I heard that can happen, so I'm starting to save now for the spaying. Here it runs round $150. If it keeps them from going savage, then it'll be well worth it.

  • Yeah, when the hormones get to them.. =S. these two won't be able to be housed together when they reach maturity, unless you want babies. =) Also, females have a high percecent change of contracting cancer in the reproductive system is unspayed..

  • They are both girls, sisters, so I hope pregnancy won't be an issue, lol. But i have ehard females can get real territorial with one another after puberty. They are definitelhy a tightly bonded pair, so I do not want to risk them not staying friends.

  • lol, well then, babies won't come but yeah, =) fights may, though. My girl got territorial.. big time.

  • Yes, and my first. I haven't been able to have pets for the last three years, so it is exciting and wonderful to be able to have pets again. And rabbits were definitely the way to go. They get more enjoyable everyday as we get to know one another.

  • They are smart little things. Are they your only babies?

  • I got them last Tuesday at 7 weeks old. Lolita knows there is a great big world outside their room, and she managed to get past me and into it Monday for a few minutes. She's been trying to sneak out ever since.

  • Holland lops are awesome... if well bred or just generally have a good temperment. Rosie was store bought (I shouldn't have done that), and is fairly nasty. It was funny when you said that one day Lolita will figure out how to get out, my girl knows how to untie twist-ties =P How long have you had these two?

  • I was planning on getting a Holland lop and a Jersey, but I couldn't find any at the time. I hadn't really considered a Dutch, but now I am glad I chose these two little bundles of fun.
