@oldtimeradioshowotr couldnt agree with you more,i too had an ipad but got bored with it,i like things that are a little bit different from the norm but have to say the playbook just works so well.
the update in february can only make it even better.

fantastic piece of kit,i spent ages researching which tablet to buy and have to say i'm so pleased i got my 32gb playbook.
199 pounds at pc world,absoloute bargain if you ask me,great screen,fantastic feautures with new update in february .

I had an iPad for a couple of years, but figured I'd check out the Blackberry Playbook. I am AMAZED that everyone isn't shifting from the iPad to the Playbook. This is just so much better in so many ways. It is in a different league to the iPad as far as usability is concerned. My iPad is gathering dust somewhere (it might be under the bed - I really don't know) and I haven't touched it hardly at all ever since getting this masterpiece of technology.

One of the most impressive tablets I have seen. 7 inch screen size is the only true drawback. I pretty much use this as my fulltime computer now. The only other problem is storage since I have the 16GB version. But this does everything you can think of. I sold my Ipad 2 and used 200$ of the money to buy this tablet along with other gifts. I was pleasantly surprised.I can't believe this thing isn't more popular than the Ipad because it is so much better. Updates for more apps will be released.
