It has nothing to do with intellectural insecurities (albeit the philosophers in this film are mostly cultural philosophers, not analytical). If logic is BS to you, then whatever tools or crafts you use for your job is that much more likely to be BS, as well.

this looks a great film, philosophy has been ignored greatly by documentary makers for far too long, hope this is the start of a new movement in documentary making.doubt it unfortunatley...

Most philosophers respond to their own intellectual insecurities by trying to baffle their audience with technical bullshit. West is the only "philosopher" I've ever seen who responds by baffling them with common sense. And fails.
