I wouldn't call a symphonic approach to metal "generic" at all. As for losing originality... most bands that pioneer something are only original until others start using them for inspiration. It creates that illusion that they no longer stand out. But listen to the Poet and the Pendulum... instrumentally Nightwish are still incredible.

@Nalayasha His arrival supposed the beggining of the end of Nightwish. With Marco, they started dressing like clowns, playing comercial music and losing all of the originality the band had. And I also don't like his generic-trend-male-metal-voice­. So, TO HELL WITH MARCO HIETALA.
