Thoughts on Psystar / OS X on PC's

READ ME:

I didn't make this quite clear in the video, but basically i can't see OS X getting licensed to PC hardware any time soon, don't think Steve Jobs would allow it... yet :)
I do however believe that OS X needs to be freed from the shackles of Mac hardware :)

apple sell hardware not software, look at the price of apple sw are very low, the only reason, ppl buy a mac pc, is for the OS, if they release it ..would be the end for them.

True, you pay for the OS through the massive markup on Mac hardware :)

They'd just up the price to Microsoft levels for PC licenses. I'd certainly pay £150 for OS X (same cost as Windows 7 Home Premium)

Thats one great thing about Apple. They arent all about money and more about the quality of the product, cause look at Microsoft. They where all about money, now look at the product...I love apple and i hope they dont license the Mac...it would be a sad day for apple lovers...my 2 cents..

I would say though, apple is as much about money as microsucks :) The mark up on all apple products is huge, they make a helluva lot :)

you have no idea what your talking about. its not a simulation or i think you meant emulation. since apple macs started using intel proccessors it has been really easy to get os x working on a pc.

Apple is all about looks looks looks ! Thy are so selfish and greedy! People their gripe with Psystar is so double standard . Has anyone ever reasoned about this !, Mac computers are P.C.'s too, because there is program on Os X on Mac computers called boot camp that has the drivers needed to install and run Windows natively on a MAC!! So now I think windows and all Windows based computer companies should sue Apple for running Windows just to prove a point! Case closed !!!!!

By the time Apple finally licensed out their OS known as the clones it was too little too late now with folks sick of windows and looking for affordable alternatives like Linux now is the best time for Apple to license out Mac OS and gain far more marketshare then they have now

History lesson bill gates tried to get apple to license out their OS but Apple refused So bill gates took that as an opportunity and did what apple didn't made and OS that any computer maker could buy that's why Microsoft gained dominant market share

@ki2594 You do not know what you sre talking about man! Check this ! I have a Dell was built to run Windows So i changed the hard drive , Are you listening ! Same hardware but now i have Linux on the same machine no viruses !! same hardware as secure as a mac if not more . It's the OS people want not the hardware!!! You need to start thinking deeper!
